Your Trash Day Journey

Five steps from a clueless raccoon to a full Flamingo collection — whether you play solo or with five friends.

Explore Trash Day Guides

Everything you need to haul the wagon, loot every area and unlock all 24 achievements.

Trash Day Beginner Guide

The essential first steps for a new raccoon crew: escaping Animal Control, learning the wagon basics, understanding which trash is worth grabbing and how to reach your first drop-off without losing the cart.

Start Reading
1

Break out of Animal Control, the opening area, and learn the movement set: climb, scurry and scamper over fences and rooftops.

2

Find and claim the stolen wagon, then assign roles: at least one driver, one scout and one person watching the rear wheels.

3

Learn the loot loop: flip trash cans and dumpsters, pick up items and deposit them into the wagon to raise its value.

4

Practice wheel reattachment and wagon flipping early; these two actions decide whether a level ends in a wipe.

5

Call a haul-in only after the wagon is loaded; a full six-area run takes roughly two to three hours for most groups.

Trash Day Wagon Physics & Repair

How the wagon actually behaves under physics: steering as a group, reattaching wheels, flipping a capsized cart, swapping broken panels and using bungee cords and planks to clear obstacles.

Wagon Physics
1

Steer by pushing together: up to five players can shove the wagon, and mismatched directions will stall or tip it.

2

Reattach a lost wheel by carrying it back to the axle and holding the attach input; a fast re-fit hits the Pit Crew timing challenge.

3

Flip a capsized wagon back onto its wheels by having the crew push from one side at once.

4

Swap broken panels before the level ends to work toward the Wagon of Theseus achievement.

5

Use bungee cords and planks to launch the wagon over traffic, bear traps, rockslides and the river when a straight push will not work.

Trash Day Controls & Settings

Full PC control reference for keyboard and controller, including movement, grab and throw, wagon interaction and the settings that make the physics easier to manage.

Controls & Settings
1

Move with the standard directional keys or left stick; Shift or the sprint input is used to scurry faster.

2

Use the interact key to grab, carry and deposit loot, and to attach wagon wheels and panels.

3

The attack input lets you swipe or knock over props and trash cans.

4

Attempt a wagon push by holding toward the wagon; multiple players stacking inputs moves it fastest.

5

Controller support is partial on Steam, so check the in-game settings if a button feels unbound.

What is Trash Day?

Trash Day is an online co-op physics game for one to six players, built by indie studio Off by One Games and released on Steam on October 13, 2026. Each session casts you as a raccoon who has just broken out of Animal Control; together the crew steals a wagon, loads it with the best garbage they can scrounge and tows it across a run-down world toward the legendary Raccoon Paradise.

Ragdoll Wagon Physics

The stolen wagon is a physics object that sheds wheels, flips over and can be launched with bungee cords and planks — coordinating it is the whole game.

Six Haul Areas

Haul through Animal Control, Convenience Store, Construction Site, River, Junkyard and Park, each with its own obstacles and loot.

Loot & Scoring

Flip trash cans, raid dumpsters and deposit rare items to raise wagon value and hit the $75 high-value bonus.

1-6 Player Co-op

Play solo or with up to five friends online, split roles, revive each other and pull off co-op stunts for achievements.

The hook is the wagon itself. It is a ragdoll physics object that loses wheels, tips over, snags on bear traps and can be launched with bungee cords and planks, so most of the comedy comes from coordinating up to five friends around a vehicle that refuses to cooperate. Across six areas you knock over trash cans, raid dumpsters and hunt hidden items, then cash the haul in for score.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many players can play Trash Day co-op?+

Trash Day supports one to six players in online co-op, and you can play it entirely solo if you want. The wagon is the same physics object either way, so a solo raccoon has to drive, loot and repair alone — which is possible but a lot harder than splitting the jobs across a full crew of six.

How do I reattach a wagon wheel?+

Carry the detached wheel back to the wagon axle and hold the interact input to slot it on. Doing it quickly is what the Pit Crew timing challenge rewards, so practise the carry-and-hold before a level gets chaotic. If the wheel is far away, send one player to fetch it while the rest of the crew holds the wagon steady.

What is the $75 high-value haul?+

Filling the wagon until its tracked loot value reaches at least $75 at one time unlocks the High Value Target achievement. Rare items are the fastest way to get there because a single rare deposit can jump the total sharply, so prioritise rare loot over volume when you are chasing the threshold.

How many areas does Trash Day have?+

The full game ships with six areas: Animal Control, Convenience Store, Construction Site, River, Junkyard and Park. Animal Control acts as the tutorial zone, the River adds a water hazard, and the Junkyard and Park close out the run on the way to Raccoon Paradise. A full six-area haul takes most groups two to three hours.

How many achievements are in Trash Day?+

There are 24 Steam achievements. They split into action challenges like Wagon of Theseus and Tripod, collection clears like Everything Everywhere, and co-op stunts such as Space Cadets and Totem Pole that need a coordinated crew. Most are easier to farm with a full team of friends on voice chat.

When did Trash Day release?+

Trash Day launched on Steam on October 13, 2026, with a 10 percent introductory discount for the first two weeks. It arrived to a Very Positive reception, with 99 percent of its first 101 reviews positive. A free demo covering a single area is also available if you want to try the wagon physics first.

Ready to Master Trash Day?

From your first wagon push to a full Flamingo collection and every achievement cleared, our area walkthroughs, loot routes and co-op tips keep your raccoon crew rolling.
